Jessica DeSantis & Thomas Beasley
Tell us a bit about your love story: Tom and I met on Tinder and had our first date at our wedding venue (which is where we did our first look). I was skeptical of Tom after being in not-so-great relationships. Skeptical because I did not think there were such genuine people in the world, but he certainly proved me wrong. Our story unraveled from there leading to buying a home and rescuing a puppy together.
What was your favourite part of the day? It is hard to pinpoint it to one specific part, but I would say after COVID, getting to be around all our favourite people and family we had not seen for a while was so amazing. Everyone was enjoying the evening and having fun while busting some killer dance moves. There was not a care in the world.
Did anything go wrong? Other than Tom stepping on my dress and ripping it at the end of the night? If anything went wrong, we had no idea and honestly would not have cared. The day was so laidback and came together beautifully.
Favourite wedding detail? Our monogram that was projected on the wall and the floral vines on our harvest tables looked so beautiful.
What will guests remember most? I think guests will remember how the day was laidback, how the ceremony was “us”, the food was delicious and how lively the dance floor was.
What advice can you give to couples who are planning their wedding? Stop and take the little moments in, don’t rush anything, and take sunset photos if you get the chance (they will turn out beautiful).
Honeymoon? For our honeymoon we went to New York City then on a 10-day cruise to the Caribbean (Bermuda, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico, and Haiti).
